Break free of past patterns.

Come back to your seat of choice.

Awaken the innate powers that have been obscured by social conditioning and self-sabotage.

Through embodiment, mindfulness, and our active practice of authentic relating: I have a knack for pinpointing the deeper threads to what’s holding you back, and together we build your capacity to change.

So that you can access greater range to be with whatever arises.

So you can start expressing your full truth – in ways that improve your relationships, inspire your work and enliven your everyday life.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with men who are ready to shift. Who feel the call and are ready to face what’s uncomfortable. Who know there’s a climb ahead, and are up for it regardless of the difficulty. Because the peak will be worth it, and it’s time to leave that old valley behind.

The only way “out” is through, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m committed to creating a world where men are awake, present, heart-centered and leaderful in all our relationships - and to helping this happen one brother at a time.

How I got here…

Years ago, with the abrupt end of a long term relationship, I heard the call. I began doing the work – going to therapy, finding a men’s group, training in embodiment, movement and mindfulness practices, studying relational skills – and dedicating myself to UNLEARNING these old patterns that kept me scared and small.

I dove into the realm of men’s work: attending retreats, working with different coaches, showing up in brotherhood circles – honing my skills in the fire of loving, supportive confrontation with other men who are also doing their work. It wasn’t long before I was called into leadership to facilitate and guide these groups too.

Deeper Roots

There were experiences in my childhood that didn’t feel so safe, despite my loving parents and family; no doubt many of us can relate to this. I responded by going inside and becoming a vigilant observer.

Because I spent so much of my formative years back inside myself, carefully tracking everyone and everything – I have a keen sense of attunement to what’s happening inside other people’s bodies.

Now, thanks to years of practice and self work, what was initially a wound and survival strategy has transformed into a gift that I am now honored to offer in service to others.

Gratitudes

Today, I am so grateful to all the men who’ve helped me climb, who’ve been companions and challengers along the way, all of them committed to living life fully from their hearts. I am indebted especially to primary mentors Eli Buren, and James Farmer & Patrick Wilson.

I’m grateful for my loving wife, who celebrates the man I've become and continues to invite me into further evolution — in our partnership and as co-teachers on the path. I am grateful to living nature and it’s call into wildness, creativity and presence. And ultimately I am grateful for the privilege of now getting to help other men get present and awaken their relational leadership. To authentically express themselves and truly belong. It’s time to climb.

The Living Mountain Approach

In honor of my Norse ancestry and passion for runes, this symbol was born through the creative practice of rune-binding, and it incorporates three ancient symbols with a modern spin: Tiwaz, Laguz, and Ehwaz. It embodies The Living Mountain approach — empowering men to stand in their strength and sensitivity, to find courage in the face of challenge, and to honor personal and universal human origins to progress on the path of fulfillment.

TIWAZ - This is the pole star, an emblem of truth and justice, that guides us through the dark of night and brings clarity through the fog of feeling lost. It is the rune of perseverance and finding courage through struggle. I’m here to empower you to stand in your bravery and truth as healthy masculine. To claim your leadership in life and relations.

LAGUZ - Sacred waters of life, our origins, ever in motion. We honor all that is within and without. We welcome the undeniable flow of evolution, the invitation to emerge, and we embody this through our practice of movement and stillness. Honoring the cyclical nature of life and renewal ever available, this is initiation into the watery realms of intuition and emotion, to balancing and honoring the feminine in us all.

EHWAZ - This is the rune of spiritual progress and self development. Of harmonious cooperation between two forces striving to achieve a goal together. It is the promise of something new arising. The horse here symbolizes loyalty, trust and collaborative companionship on the journey ahead.
